The work of starting a new congregation extends well beyond one pastor or family. Some of you may be in a position geographically to join us in discussions about the new church and to consider joining us in this project as a part of our launch team or with the Pratt ministry. When you read the stories in the book of Acts of how the early church grew and expanded throughout the known world, you consistently find the church in prayer. Perhaps this is because they understood that the church is God’s own community, born of his grace and faithfulness and fueled by his Spirit rather than the strength of their own efforts.
